About
The genesis of the Canby Suicide Prevention Taskforce was the tragic suicide of three Canby High School boys who took their lives in 2018. We clearly felt the need to do whatever it takes to stop this from happening. We began meeting in March 2018 and have held monthly meetings and/or training since that time.
In September 2019, the taskforce came to partner with The Canby Center as a formal program of the center.
