Membership



Thriving Together Program is a no-cost membership program.

Members are encouraged and given access to the skills and support they need in order to move forward.

Members experience a sense of belonging, acceptance, and ownership. We walk this journey together to become a strong community. The program empowers our community through education and participation and renews personal dignity.
Eligibility

Members must live in Canby, Aurora, or Hubbard.

Members must commit to program requirements.*
Benefits
-
Groceries one (1) time each week valued at $150.
-
Clothing for the whole household one (1) time each week.

Complete one (1) hour of volunteer service at The Canby Center each month.

Attend a free finance class one (1) time each calendar year.
-
Complete one (1) Hopes & Dreams session.

I'm a member; how often can I come for groceries?

Once a week. You can choose one (1) of these times:

Tuesday, 9:30 am - 10:00 am (9:00 am check-in)

Thursday, 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm (3:00 pm check-in)

Saturday, 9:30 am - 10:00 am (9:00 am check-in)

I'm a member; how often can I get clothing?

Every seven (7) days. Contact us for more information!
There is a reason I think I might not be able to volunteer, am I not eligible for membership?

You have several options:

We can probably find something for you to do! We also understand that health and safety concerns can limit capacity and are committed to limiting barriers to access.

Volunteer exemption forms are available upon request.

Members can complete extra service hours on behalf of other members.

I'm not a member; are there any no-cost services available for me?
Yes!

Lunch (Monday-Thursday, served 11:00-1:00)

Emergency dental care (extractions and fillings; call to make an appointment)

After-school tutoring (call to make an appointment)

Vision voucher (accepted at Canby Eyecare)

Job placement resources through NW Employment Solutions.

Print, copy, and fax (available Monday-Thursday, 11:00-5:00)

Laundry (onsite washer and dryer; call to make an appointment)

Classes (tax prep, cooking, sewing, finance)

Emergency food boxes (four meals for a family of six)
