Our Mission
In God’s love, we renew dignity and inspire learning for youth and families.
We believe every person has God-given worth and something valuable to offer.
That’s why our programs engage members in their own growth, building on their strengths within a supportive, Christ-centered community.
On the blog, discover the latest stories of hope and how you can help.
A Hand Up, Not a Handout
The Canby Center offers practical help with purpose — from food and clothing to mentoring, tutoring, and life-skills education. Every service is designed to restore dignity and open doors to opportunity. Our members volunteer alongside staff and supporters, reinforcing the truth that we’re in this together.
Impact That Multiplies
Through partnerships with local churches, schools, service clubs, and generous donors, The Canby Center now serves thousands of families across Canby, Hubbard, and Aurora. As we expand our facility and strengthen our programs, we remain focused on what matters most: relationships that renew hope, faith that sustains, and a community where everyone can thrive.
Looking Ahead
What began as a local movement of compassion is now a model of hope for communities beyond Canby. We’re sharing what we’ve learned — showing how faith in action can transform lives, families, and neighborhoods.
Together, we’re opening doors — renewing dignity, inspiring learning, and building a future where everyone belongs.
What we believe
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative and complete Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
