What legacy will you leave for your family and community? It’s a question we at The Canby Center have been thinking about a lot as we have carefully planned and executed our ongoing capital campaign and expansion project. This planned $8 million project, which will more than triple our current footprint on Southwest 2nd Avenue in Canby, is very much about meeting our current needs for serving the most vulnerable in our community — but it is also about the future. To that end, we are offering a tangible way to support The Canby Center and leave a lasting legacy for Canby with our Buy a Brick campaign! These customizable bricks will help create a striking new entryway for our expanded facility, symbolically forming the foundation of our ongoing and future efforts to alleviate poverty in the Canby area. These bricks come in three sizes and donation levels and can be customized with the name of your business or nonprofit, a favorite scripture verse or a special message honoring a loved one.
We love the symbolism of these bricks helping form the foundation of our new facility, and serving as a permanent reminder to future generations the critical role you played in securing The Canby Center’s work for years to come. It reminds us of how The Canby Center has always been built on the service and contributions of those who have supported us and joined our efforts to alleviate poverty in our community. However big or small, every contribution matters, and they all have eternal significance. So, Buy a Brick today, and help pave the way out of poverty for youth and families in our community. Next Open House Set for March 19
We had a fantastic turnout earlier this month at our first open house of the new year and are excited to announce that our next one has been scheduled for 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 19. These events are informal, come-and-go-style occasions giving you the opportunity to tour our facility, see the work that we do and learn more about our planned expansion and vision for the future. This event is completely free and open to the public. Coffee and light refreshments will be served. We hope you are able to join us for this opportunity to engage with The Canby Center, see how we use our current facility and the desperate need for more space to serve our community. Guests will be welcome to self-tour the center, talk with TCC staff and hear from TCC leadership about the campaign and our vision for the future. To learn more or RSVP, please visit www.thecanbycenter.org/openhouse. Thank you!
