John believes strongly in the Mission, Vision and Values of The Canby Center, “In God’s love, we renew dignity and inspire learning for youth and families”. He is very honored to serve on TCC’s Board of Directors. He has a heart for people in need and feels that this role provides an opportunity for him as a Christian to “live sideways” in our community. Dan Lundy

Board Member since 2022

Dan grew up in the then tiny town of Sherwood.  It was at the Hopkins Elementary School that he met his future wife Barbara.  After working in environmental chemistry and microbiology, he joined the faculty of Clackamas Community College.  Teaching in the Water and Environmental Technology Program, he trained men and women for careers in the water and wastewater industry.  Dan moved with Barbara and their young family to a small acreage in Canby nearly 45 years ago.  He continues to think Canby is the greatest community anywhere – just ask him!  Dan, along with Barbara, have served for many years in children’s ministry, small group leadership and senior adult ministry. Dan is excited about the prospect of serving with The Canby Center as it continues to strengthen the welfare of children and families and provides help and encouragement to the most vulnerable in our community.

Dan Drazan

Board Member since 2023

Dan was born and raised in Walla Walla, Washington.  He moved to the Willamette Valley in the early 1990’s to attend Lewis & Clark College.  After graduating from college, Salem was home for three years to be near his soon-to-be wife, Christine, and attend Willamette University College of Law.  Dan and Christine moved to Canby in 1999 and found it to be a wonderful community in which to raise their three children, Izaak, Christian and Ava.  Commercial real estate transactions and development projects occupy most of Dan’s working hours and keep him out of trouble.  However, when not working as a lawyer or photographer, Dan can be found fishing for salmon, steelhead and trout on the Northwest’s beautiful rivers or backpacking in the remote alpine wilderness of Eastern Oregon and Northern Washington.  He enjoys encouraging others to join him in these pursuits, and is always willing to talk as long as anyone cares to listen about the next adventure, whatever it may be.  Dan is thrilled to join The Canby Center’s board as its mission aligns with what he believes is required to solve our society’s greatest challenges.

Laurie Field

Board Member since 2023

Laurel (Laurie) Field grew up in Golden, Colorado which was a small town much like Canby when she and husband, Brian moved here in 1990. Canby is such a special, multi -generational family town that even after 33 years here, they still feel like they are newcomers. Laurie has always been active in the Canby community serving in church related events, at 91 School in many capacities while her girls were there and at Canby High School. She served for ten years on the Canby Educational Foundation, which she truly enjoyed. She and Brian raised three girls in Canby who are now grown, married and starting families. They have two grandchildren. Laurie enjoys her time raising St Croix Hair Sheep, riding her horses, working on their landscape and working with FFA students as needed.
