real life 101: phase one

a place for high school students

1. A lounging area where students can congregate and interact with one another as well as with positive adult role models.

2. A space where students can participate in activities such as art classes and training in life skills such as: resource management; personal finance (balancing a check book; the importance of saving money); career choices; and coaching for success in an interview

3. A space for students to do homework with tutors in attendance to assist.

4. A technology lab with 20 computers, current Microsoft Office products and internet access:

to enable students to complete and print homework assignments

to enable students to do research for assignments and projects using the internet
for classes in Microsoft Office products to better equip students for the workforce
to enable students to search for employment, create and review resume’s, or research colleges and apply for scholarships or otherwise explore options for building a better future.
